Kotori has the ability to switch with other people and things as well as allowing others to come with her when she uses her powers. However she can only use her powers once which then causes her to hang up. Despite this handicap, her ability has often come into place in vital situations. She is not familiar with other magicians when still lived in the lab.

Kotori is a clumsy but soft-hearted girl. She gets nervous easily, and when that happens, she will start to stutter. She likes all kinds of desserts and does eat a lot of food.

The original manga revolves around high school boy Ryōta Murakami, who cannot forget his female childhood friend whom he let die in an accident. Feeling that he must fulfill their promise of proving the existence of aliens, he has continuously looked up at the sky as a member of the astronomy club. One day, a girl named Neko Kuroha who looks exactly like his childhood friend appears as a transfer student. It turns out that she is a magic-user that has run away from a research lab.

She was a member in the tennis club at her middle and high schools, and she was also the general manager of the club in high school. When Azusa was in 8th grade, she was inspired to become a voice actress after hearing the Akiko Yajima's performance as Kohaku in Inuyasha. She participated in Horipro's 36th Talent Scout Caravan on October 11, 2011, was awarded as the grand prix winner and made her debut as a voice actress in 2012. In 2014, she made her official debut as a singer with the album "Beyond Myself!".

Azusa's hobbies including karaoke, impersonating, making albums, cooking and sewing. Her special skills include tennis - which she has been playing ever since fifth grade of elementary school - and arm wrestling, and she likes to stay healthy. She also loves both cows and movies, and has said that her ideal date would be either tennis or a movie so that she wouldn’t have to talk a lot. When he was a child, Murakami was infatuated with a girl he called Kuroneko. She insisted on knowing about aliens and having met them, but no one believed her, even young Murakami was skeptical. One day, she decides to show him the aliens, but an accident occurs and Kuroneko dies while Murakami is left seriously wounded in the hospital. 
Years go by and Murakami obsesses on finding proof of the existence of aliens because of a promise he had made with Kuroneko. Then, one day, a new transfer student comes to his class, who not only looks a lot like Kuroneko, but is named Kurohaneko! 
And even though she insists on never having met Murakami before, the girl has superhuman strength and seems to even be able to predict the future! 
How will Murakami's life change now that he has been saved by this mysterious girl that claims to be a magician?

Unaired episode 11.5 included on the second Blu-ray/DVD volume. The fight for Ryota's affections continue after a misunderstanding. The girls vie for his attention with a series of competitions, all with disastrous results.
