Komatsu came to Tokyo, looking to find her dream. Unlike Osaki, Komatsu came from a large and happy household, though her childish outlook prevented her from living on her own initially. She&#039;s the middle child of three sisters.  Her chance encounter with Osaki began a friendship which changes Komatsu&#039;s life forever. She is introduced to Osaki&#039;s band, Black Stones, and their members. She later even helps &quot;Blast&quot; to find their bassist, by drawing a poster to advertise the vacancy. Much to her surprise, she also discovers that the members of Blast were friends with the members of Trapnest, a popular rock band of which she&#039;s a very big fan.

Two twenty-somethings seemingly share nothing in common apart from their first name, but a chance meeting on a train bound for Tokyo sets Nana Komatsu and Nana Oosaki on a collision course with destiny. Nana Komatsu, a love-at-first-sight dreamer, aims to find enduring happiness in the big city. Nana Oosaki, neo punk rock vocalist, pursues her burning ambitions of musical stardom and worldwide fame. As their fates increasingly intertwine, they each chase their dreams — until the harsh realities of life in big city Tokyo threaten to tear everything apart.

KAORI. is a Japanese voice actress and singer. Before 2000, she was known as Kawana Midori (川菜翠) and Kawana Akiko (川菜明子). "KAORI" is a portmanteau of Kawana Midori. She is a member of the rock band Spunky Strider.

Her sister, [Barbara de Bortoli](https://anilist.co/staff/95763/), is a popular Italian voice actress too. She dubbed [Kagome Higurashi](https://anilist.co/character/1354/Kagome-Higurashi) (from "Inuyasha") for the first 26 episodes, then contractual questions forced dubbing staff of Dynamic Italia to change casting roles and give her one to [Maria Letizia Scifoni](https://anilist.co/staff/96676/).

She is the Castillian Spanish voice of Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johansson and Keira Knightley.

Mi-Sook Jeong, joined KBS Voice Acting Division in 1984. One of her well known voice acting is Kagome Higurashi.  Although unrelated to anime, she played the voice of Reith in the PS2 game, Magna Carta the Tears of Blood.

Nana Komatsu is a young woman who's endured an unending string of boyfriend problems. Moving to Tokyo, she's hoping to take control of her life and put all those messy misadventures behind her. She's looking for love and she's hoping to find it in the big city. 
Nana Osaki, on the other hand, is cool, confident and focused. She swaggers into town and proceeds to kick down the doors to Tokyo's underground punk scene. She's got a dream and won't give up until she becomes Japan's No. 1 rock'n'roll superstar. 
This is the story of two 20-year-old women who share the same name. Even though they come from completely different backgrounds, they somehow meet and become best friends. The world of Nana is a world exploding with sex, music, fashion, gossip and all-night parties.
