Seiyuu: Kanemaru Junichi  Ninjutsu Gakuen fifth-year ro-gumi. 14 years old. O blood-type. Pisces.  Member of the Library Committee.  An upperclassman with a gentle and helpful personality that Rantarou and the others adore. His weakness is his indecisive nature. Usually seen in a pair with his friend Hachiya Saburou. In the original work Raizou’s hair is black; however, in the anime it is a bright brown. His namesake is from the proverb “付和雷同 (following blindly)”.

Rantarou, Shinbei and Kirimaru are ninja apprentices in the Ninja Gakuen, where first grade ones are called "Nintamas" (contraction of the words ninja+tama (egg). They must learn everything a ninja must know, but as for our heroes, money, food or playing are more interesting. The series show the everyday adventures of our heroes, segmentated in a cartoon fashion, like 2 small episodes in a 30-min show. The cast also includes the teachers (Doi-sensei and crossdressing Yamada-sensei), nintama kunoichis, evil guys (Dokutake ninjas) and even family members of all the cast...

This gag manga is the most popular series in Asahi Shogakusei newspaper and became a huge hit when adapted into the anime series &ldquo;Nintama Rantarou&rdquo; on NHK TV. The time is the Sengoku period, and the characters are ninjas-in-training who have entered Ninjutsu Gakuen. Their sights are set on becoming first-class ninjas, but they usually end up creating chaos. This series is perfect for treating students who are wearied from studying.
