Neko has a very joyful, carefree, and energetic personality. She is very playful, often participating or even starting chases with people. In addition, Neko seems to have no qualms or worries about being nude, especially in front of men, showing some immodesty. She even stated that she does not like wearing clothes, the reason being that "Clothes are too restricting". She is also a mysterious girl, who is also a cat. Neko also likes Shiro and even calls him "My Shiro".

Yashiro Isana has lived a relatively ordinary, simple life. He lives in the technologically advanced Shizume City and attends Ashinaka High School, a notable high school that is located on an island just outside the areas. Yashiro is friendly with everyone. Nothing seems wrong about him, except perhaps his habit of forgetting where his school-issued PDA is. 

However, nothing normal has been happening since the recent murder of Tatara Totsuka, prominent member of the infamous HOMRA. No one knows who exactly killed him but the man responsible bears an uncanny, identical appearance to Yashiro. Seeking vengeance, the Red Clansmen of HOMRA set out to get Yashiro and kill him. Everyone suspects that Yashiro is the murderer.

Novel adaptation of K. This is focused on Isana Yashiro, Yatogami Kuroh, and Neko.

Shiro and Kuroh are not the only ones who go to high school. Instead, the members of Homra (including their leader Suoh) and the members of Scepter 4 attend school together. The students are sometimes lax, but at other times, they are hot-headed.


In modern Japan, where history has strangely overlapped with reality. There, seven "Kings" with great superpowers existed. Along with their clansman to whom they shared their own power with, the kings each formed clans. Order bound by blue, red flames that cause chaos, irregularities that shine in white, and reforms branched off into green. The Kings, each with their own abilities, now... 
 With "jungle" once again jumping back into action, the fates of the various Kings are brought together.

Adolf K. Weismann is sharing a peaceful meal with his loved ones, while Misaki Yata is having a blast hanging out with his HOMRA buddies. A year has gone by since the Blue Clan SCEPTER 4 has disbanded and the Red Clan HOMRA took over as the unofficial go-to people for dealing with the underground community. Lately, the stress of having to constantly keep his destructive power under control is causing the Red King Mikoto Suoh to become unstable.
 
Meanwhile, Reisi Munakata is chosen by the Dresden Slate to become the new Blue King. Believing this to be his true calling, Munakata uses his newfound power and skill as king to rebuild SCEPTER 4. Munakata then turns his attention to HOMRA and Mikoto Suoh, whom he believes pose a risk to the safety of the world.
 
When the two young kings cross paths for the first time, a new battle begins in the story of the seven kings…
