Kasumi is a mysterious girl living in Yokohama base under Professor Kouzuki's care, who is often spotted floor B-19 in the room with the cylinder containing a brain. She wears a different uniform with a patch that says "Alternative IV" on it. 

Kasumi is quiet and reserved, rarely speaking to others on her own or showing much emotion. Though she rarely comes out on her own, after getting to know Takeru a little, she begins coming to Takeru's room every morning to wake him up.

~!Real name Trista Sestina, Kasumi is one of the few living remnants of Alternative III. A human esper created from an artificial womb with ESP abilities trained to read the thoughts of the BETA directly. Her name is a designation that means she is the 300th individual of the sixth generation. Before she was sent out, the plan switched to Alternative IV and Professor Kouzuki took her in to assist with her research.!~

Her involvement in the game and anime Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, where she voiced the role of one of the heroines, Haruka Suzumiya and performed and penned the theme songs and other songs relating to the series, has brought her much attention. Her single "Precious Memories", used as the opening theme song for the series' animated version was a success; it had a peak ranking of 17th place on the Oricon charts and charted for 13 weeks.[1] She has since performed songs for other games and anime, including series such as Muv-Luv, Chrono Crusade, My-HiME, My-Otome, and School Days.    Kuribayashi has performed as part of the group Wild 3nin Musume, whose other present members are Joy Max (a.k.a. Joy Max Maximum) and Kisho Taniyama (a.k.a. Jackie Yang). One day Shirogane Takeru wakes up late, wondering why Sumika or Meiya didn't wake him up that morning. Not seeing any signs of them he gets a bit worried, and goes out of his house only to see the town he lived all his life in ruins, and finds a giant robot destroyed outside of his house. After getting past the initial shock he convinces himself that it must be a dream and decides to enjoy it as much as he can. Soon he finds out the terrible truth behind the reason the world is in ruins, and meets people that look exactly like his friends from his original world. 

In Muv-Luv Alternative, Takeru wakes up three years after the end of Muv-Luv Unlimited to find himself back in his room. Although he first thinks that everything that had happened to him was a dream, he soon feels that something is wrong, and leaves the house to find that he has been sent back in time to the beginning of the events in Unlimited. Unwilling to accept something like Alternative V, he decides to help professor Kouzuki to complete Alternative IV and save mankind.

Kanon Takao is a Japanese voice actress and the keyboardist of the band [Ave Mujica](https://anilist.co/staff/353935/Ave-Mujica). After passing an audition in 2014, she made her debut as part of the idol group Earth Star Dream. Following Earth Star Dream going on hiatus, she would continue her entertainment activities as a solo artist. When she was younger, she was a rising pianist who frequented competitions.
