She first appears in Sharp as a baby born from a rose in the Majokai. Doremi and her friends are then assigned to raise her for a whole year. 
Hana-chan always speaks in third person and refers to her mothers without any honorifics. Later in the series Jou-sama gives Hana-chan a magic tap of her own so she is also a witch but of pure blood.

After the losing of magical ability to become witches, they once again become them. But, now they have to go through tests from the Witches of the Witch World. They also meet a new member, from New York, U.S. comes Momoko (the yellow Ojamajo).

Na-i-sho is a 13 episode OVA series with episodes taking place during the ~motto~ season. It is a bit more mature than the TV seasons, and looks to develop each of the five witches romantically. Hana is back to a baby, and the mahou shop is a bakery.

Upon re-entering the witch world the girls accidentally come by a Blue rose field and witness the birth of the future witch queen: Hana-chan. Due to witnessing her birth the girls are then put in charge of baby Hana-chan and must raise her of their "mothers".

But will four ten year old girls be able to raise a baby when they're still children themselves?! Can Pop finally catch up with her older clumsy sister? Will Majorika finally turn back to normal?

One day Pop was out scavenging with Hana, and found a beautiful rose inside the Queen's garden. Curious, she picked the rose and brought it home. Unwittingly, that rose can cause all wishes to become true, whether good or bad. Good wishes will turn the rose white and bloom, while bad wishes will turn the rose black and wither. After a heated argument with her sister Doremi, Pop wishes that Doremi loses all her magic and be turned into a mouse. Hilarity ensues, as Doremi and the others try to put everything back to normal.

Ojamajo Doremi: Owarai Gekijou is an original net animation spin-off based on the Ojamajo Doremi series. This series consists of 26 short episodes that were uploaded fortnightly on Toei Animation's YouTube channel. This series features chibi versions of the character designs from the light novel series.

All the Ojamajos are studying to achieve their dreams : Hazuki at a music conservatory in Paris, Aiko at the sports science department of Waseda University, Onpu to be an actress in New York, Momoko at a confectionery school in Paris, Hana at the medical school of Tokyo University... and Doremi is studying hard for her second university entrance exam!　Each of them has different dreams and lives, but they are all connected, so they will never be alone anymore!

Now that their teenage years are over, they have to face the obstacles of life and are forced to make big choices.
