Langley is a Dragon Buster and one of Iris' rivals. She wants to defeat Dragon-type Pokemon and their trainers, especially ones from the Village of Dragons. Her known Pokemon are Beartic and Pawniard.

As with both the Advanced Generation and Diamond &amp; Pearl series before it, the Best Wishes! series begins with only Ash Ketchum, headed off to the Unova region, located far away from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh, with his Pikachu. After he meets up with the new trainer and rival Trip and the region's Professor Juniper, he gains traveling companions in Iris, a girl from a town known for its Dragon Pok&eacute;mon, and Cilan, Pok&eacute;mon Connoisseur and the Grass Pok&eacute;mon specialist of the three Straition City Gym Leaders.

Satoshi, Iris & Dent continue their travels through the Isshu region. After successfully winning his eighth and final Gym Badge against Homika in Tachiwaki City, Shirona invites everyone to stay at her villa in East Isshu, where old friend Hikari is also staying and where they participate in the Pokémon World Tournament Junior Cup after which Satoshi participates in the Isshu League. Team Rocket, meanwhile, initiate their final plan for the Isshu region-what is their purpose in their desire for the legendary Pokémon Meloetta?

Pokémon Trainer Satoshi has a new plan: see the world! But first, he and his partner Pikachu are headed to the opening of the Sakuragi Institute, a research facility dedicated to uncovering the mysteries of Pokémon in every region.
