Candy is the main fairy mascot of Smile Pretty Cure!. She came to Earth in search of Pretty Cure to help her in collecting the Cure Decor, in order to defend the peace in Märchenland. She loves fashion and dolling herself up. Candy ends her sentences with "kuru~".    ~!It is later revealed that she is the future queen of Märchenland.!~

Once upon a time, there was a kingdom of fairy tales called "M&auml;rchenland", where many fairy tale characters live together in joy. Suddenly, the evil emperor Pierrot made an invasion on M&auml;rchenland, sealing its Queen in the process. To revive the Queen, the symbol of happiness called Cure Decor, "the Queen's scattered power of light of happiness", is required. To collect the Cure Decor, a fairy named Candy searches for the Pretty Cures on Earth. There, Candy meets a girl, who decides to collect the Cure Decor. Now, will the world earn a "happy ending"?

The movie transports the Precure into a world inside a picture book, where they are guided by Nico, a mysterious inhabitant of the picture book world.

The kingdom of M&auml;rchenland, where various characters from fairy tales reside, is attacked by Pierrot, the evil emperor of the Bad End Kingdom, who seeks to direct the world towards its worst ending and steals the Cure Decors, which power the Queen of M&auml;rchenland, Royale. Using the last of her energy, Royale manages to seal Pierrot away. However, his minions seek to revive Pierrot by harnessing the Bad Energy from the people of Earth. 
In order to protect M&auml;rchenland and regain her strength, Royale sends out five mystical lights to Earth and orders a fairy named Candy to search for five legendary warriors, the Pretty Cures. Arriving in the town of Nanairogaoka, she encounters Miyuki Hoshizora, a new transfer student, who soon gains the power to become Cure Happy. Joined by her new friends, Akane Hino, Yayoi Kise, Nao Midorikawa and Reika Aoki, who become Cure Sunny, Cure Peace, Cure March and Cure Beauty respectively, Miyuki and her friends form the Smile PreCure in order to recover the Cure Decors, save M&auml;rchenland and protect everyone's happiness.

In the city of Minato Mirai in Yokohama, the news of Fusion's defeat by the Pretty Cures is the hottest topic in town! Girls everywhere are dressing up and acting as their favorite Cures. Only Sakagami Ayumi, the new transfer student, is alone by herself. 
On her way home from school, Ayumi encounters a strange creature. After naming it Fu-Chan, Ayumi and the creature soon become good friends. However, Fu-Chan is actually a piece of Fusion, and holds the power of darkness. In an effort to make Ayumi happy, Fu-chan swallows up everything that Ayumi dislikes, creating chaos in school and throughout the city! 
To help bring across Ayumi's true feelings to Fu-Chan, all 28 Pretty Cures gather once more. When everyone's power comes together, a miraculous light starts to shine.

A spring carnival held in the country of dance and song, Harmonia, is beginning. Haruka Haruno and her friends also join the festival to learn dance and song from their senior Pretty Cure warriors. However, the fairies go missing, and the carnival is thrown into confusion. Even worse, the announcers Odoren and Utaen seem extremely suspicious, and the guardian dragon of Harmonia has started a rampage, angry at the chaos at the carnival. In order to protect the peace of Harmonia, the 40 Pretty Cure warriors work together to create a miracle through dance and song filled with hope.

The film's story will revolve around the power that lies in the tears that the Precures hide. The video reveals that the Precures' tears have the power to end the world, and so the Precures must not cry no matter what. The Precures will fight in the world of song and magic to protect their tears.

The world is overflowed with Tomorrow Powerer, which is the power to create a brilliant tomorrow, which is crystallized into the Mirai Crystals. If it's stolen, everyone's future will not exist. To protect Hug-tan and everyone's future, Cure Yell will do her best!
