A little girl living alone in a snowy mountain that is isolated from the village and regardless of the fact that her parents were killed by a gaichuu, the villagers are always very cold towards her.  Despite living alone and forced to carry out of the bare necessities such as basic household chores, shoveling the snow herself and even living in isolation,  she remains to be a very kind-hearted girl who dreams to become an author of a book.
