Plain, timid and obsessed with jellyfish, Tsukimi is a far cry from her idea of a princess. Her tepid life as a jobless illustrator comes complete with roommates who harbor diehard hobbies that solidify their status as hopeless social rejects. These wallflowers run a tight, nun-like ship, but their no-men-allowed-not-no-one-not-no-how bubble is unwittingly burst after Tsukimi brings home a rescued sea jelly and a beauty queen... who's actually a guy. 
 
When the threat of losing their cozy convent inspires this glamour boy to turn the neurotic entourage into a portrait of success, will Tsukimi take her chance to bloom, or will she end up a hot mess?

An American voice actress, ADR director, and script writer affiliated with Funimation and Seraphim Digital/Sentai Filmworks.

Monica's father is from Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain, and when she was young, her family would often visit there. She would translate for her younger brother some of the European Spanish-dubbed cartoons which included anime like Doraemon and Dragon Ball Z, often imitating the various characters. Monica studied ballet, tap, and jazz, but transitioned to musical theater when was 12. She studied acting through high school as well as college at the University of Houston. She's cited voice actor inspirations from The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Beavis and Butt-head. She was working on a theater show with Jason Douglas, who suggested she audition for ADV Films. Her first voice-over role was a walla in the 1999 dub of Martian Successor Nadesico.

Tsukimi Kurashita has a strange fascination with jellyfish. She’s loved them from a young age and has carried that love with her to her new life in the big city of Tokyo. There, she resides in Amamizukan, a safe-haven for girl geeks who regularly gush over a range of things from trains to Japanese dolls. However, a chance meeting at a pet shop has Tsukimi crossing paths with one of the things that the residents of Amamizukan have been desperately trying to avoid—a beautiful and fashionable woman!
