The headmaster of Waldstein Academy's daughter, Maya Kumashiro claims to hate the myths that her father loves. Maya Kumashiro comes to Waldstein Academy after her father, the headmaster, died.   ~!At his funeral, in the recorded message to the students, he summons an ancient ghost by mistake, which Maya beats with her suitcase and kicks it into the coffin again. She then makes an announcement that it was staged and expresses hatred for myths. Despite this, later on in the episode, she recognizes that the being is a Lamie and knows what it is and how to stop it.!~  She says that even knowing about myths, she still hates them due to the fact her father, who was previously very loving and caring, became obsessed with them and caused him to ignore her and become rough.

In the year 2012, the world is a wasteland invaded by aliens. Time travelers like Fumiaki are sent back to the year 1999 in order to destroy the "Nostradamus Key" to prevent the apocalypse. In 1999, Maya, the daughter of the former principal of Waldstein Academy (a.k.a. Occult Academy), returns to the academy to replace her father. Despising her father's obsession with the occult, Maya is hell-bent on running the school into the ground out of spite. Her plan is interrupted when she meets Fumiaki and learns of the forthcoming destruction of the world. They form a pact to look for the key.

It is the year 1999. In Nagano Matsushiro stands the pyramid of Japan, the private Voltstein Academy. 
This place is famous for the repeated occurrences of occult phenomenon within its premises. Hence, it is also called the Occult Academy. The dean is committed to studying the occult, while the students are zealous in their everyday schoolwork. 
One day, the dean passes away and his occult-hating daughter, Kumashiro Maya, visits the academy. There, she meets a self-proclaimed spoon-bending "time agent" from the year 2012, Uchida Fumiaki. As the two encounters various bizarre phenomenon within the academy, the reason for Fumiaki's timeslip to 1999 becomes clear.
