Kiyose Akira did not inherently have a passion for being an Idol but loved Singing, one of his friends who he calls "Kachhan" loved his Singing and wanted to share it to tons of People around the World through Internet and thus created a YouTube Channel with the name __KIKUNOYU__. The name was taken from Kiyose Family's Public Bath House "KIKUNOYU" which also later became his Stage Name.

Akira is one of the Idols in the UniteUp! Anime Series. He is a high school student who enjoys singing and does video live streaming, Akira was officially signed with __sMiLea Production__ along with [Isuzugawa Chihiro](https://anilist.co/character/288080/Isuzugawa-Chihiro) and [Banri Naoe](https://anilist.co/character/288081/Naoe-Banri), they formed the Idol group called __PROTOSTAR__.

The anime's story centers on Akira Kiyose, who sings on a video streaming site under the singer name "KIKUNOYU." One day the talent agency sMiLea Production scouts him. sMiLea is an agency founded by the retired legendary idol pair AneLa to train new budding idols. Akira then forms an idol group with Banri Naoe and Chihiro Isuzugawa, who were also scouted. Their new group, Protostar, will have their debut alongside other new idol groups with sMiLea Production: Legit and Jaxx Jaxx.
