Sonken Chuubou is a new character introduced into Shin Ikkitousen, the direct sequel of Ikkitousen. She is the sister of Hakufu Sonsaku related by their father.

She appears for the first time in the first chapter of the first volume. She's a new student entering Nanyo Gakuen, but doesn't possess a magatama yet. Ukitsu, still alive in the manga, is in charge of giving her the magatama of Sun Quan.

Like her sister, the "soul" in her magatama take the form of a water dragon (water being the natural element of the "Sun lineage").

As a sequel to the Ikkitousen series, Shin Ikkitousen focuses on highschools which are each equipped with fighters that contain the essence of Ancient Chinese soldiers from the Three Kingdoms with the use of Magatama. Just as the turf war in the Kanto region comes to a stop and progress in recovery is made the area is back on blast following the start of "Magatama hunting" with the direction of the powerful leader, Himiko.

A voice actor, singer, and the drummer of [Poppin'Party](https://anilist.co/staff/153185/PoppinParty). Ayaka was born in Saitama Prefecture but moved to Tokyo after kindergarten. She became part of a theater company in elementary school and appeared in commercials, stage productions, and TV dramas. After receiving some voice acting lessons in the company, she realized that she wanted to become a voice actress. She got scouted in 2011 by Horipro and began her career. In August 2014, she debuted as a singer with her single "YES!!", which was used as the opening theme for the anime _Sabagebu!_.

Her hobbies includes karaoke as well as watching anime, drumming, browsing the internet, gaming, watching sports, and reading light novels. She had drumming skills prior to joining the _Bang Dream_ franchise. Ayaka loves heavy metal and shares her love together with her mother, who used to sing Marilyn Manson's songs for her as lullabies. Her favorite bands are Evanescence, Papa Roach, and Slipknot. Ayaka is also the voice provider of the VOCALOID4 voicebank, MATCHA.

The fighters of the Kanto region have been able to determine that the previously unknown attackers are from Nara and are connected to the Yamato School and its dangerous leader Himiko. With leaders Hakufu Sonsaku and Moutoku Sousou already stripped of their Magatama jewels by the attackers, only Gentoku Ryuubi remains as the only fully operational leader. In order to maintain sufficient fighting strength, the fighters of Nanyo, Kyosho and Seito join forces for the counterattack. Although they expect to fall into a skillful trap, in the end they have no choice and even Hakufu wants to join in. However, Hakufu is “forgotten” at one of the stations on the way to Nara…
