David is a street kid from Arroyo, Santo Domingo in Night City, who is enrolled into Arasaka's educational system at Arasaka Academy. He lives with his mother Gloria in an apartment of Megabuilding H4.

After experiencing a personal tragedy, David has the powerful Sandevistan speedware installed in his body and becomes one of Night City's edgerunners. He also becomes acquainted with [Lucy](https://anilist.co/character/284157/Lucy), who leads him into the city's criminal underworld, and chooses to join the gang of edgerunners she is a part of, led by [Maine](https://anilist.co/character/284159/Maine).

An original anime series set in in the universe of Cyberpunk 2077. 
 
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he chooses to stay alive by becoming an edgerunner—a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.

Zach Aguilar is an LA-based voice actor known for being a vocal "chameleon." He is also a well-versed pianist of 10 years, martial artist, and singer on the side.

When Zach was young, he would often take days off from school and do acting auditions in Hollywood. This is all thanks to his mom, who would often call the school and tell them that his son was "sick". At an undisclosed time, he almost got out of acting completely until he was about 12 or 13 years old when he decided to get back into acting because of his interest in anime and video games. He took some voiceover classes and started to pursue voiceover afterwards. 

He won an Anime Expo competition back in 2014. Zach claims this to be his first big studio role, which would lead him to "greater things" later on.
