A 14-year-old high school student whose father went missing on the high seas. Her mother, a hat designer, works in Paris and Aiko lives with her old uncle, whom she also takes care of. She feels abandoned and depressed, until the day she finds Spank on a beach and takes him home with her. Little by little, Spank begins to lighten up her gloomy mood.

Having gone through so many unfortunate events in her life, Spank's presence begins to brighten up Aiko's life and put a smile on her face.
