Squad 7 sniper, age 24. An aloof beauty, she keeps all others at a distance. Her father, a skilled hunter, trained her in the art of marksmanship from childhood.    Despising other people interfering with her life above all else, she prefers to be alone. Though a single glare can send him packing, Ted still tries to chat.    Following her father&#039;s footsteps, she became a hunter famed for never letting her prey escape. She now lives with a fox she found injured in the mountains.  

Valkyria Chronicles is set in a fictitious continent reminiscent of 1930s Europe. The continent, called Europa, is divided into two main powers: The Imperial Empire, a monarchy in the east, and the alliance of democracies called the Federation in the west. In this world, there is a very important resource called ragnite; its uses range from fueling weapons of war to use in medical treatments. Since ragnite is such an important resource, the Federation and the Empire are constantly at war with each other for it. 
The story takes place in the neutral country of Gallia, known for its bountiful reserves of ragnite, when the Empire decides to invade and seize the ragnite for themselves. The story follows Welkin, the son of a former war hero; Isara, Welkin's Darcsen adoptive sister; and Alicia, a member of the Bruhl town watch, as they fight the Imperials in the ragtag Gallian militia group, Squad 7. 
Squad 7 fights to regain their homes and livelihoods with Welkin as the squad leader and commander of the Edelweiss tank; Alicia as a scout; Isara as the pilot of the Edelweiss, and a variety of colorful individuals.

The story is set in a fictional version of Europe in 1930, in the country of Gallia. Because of its abundance of ragnite ore&mdash;which can be refined into a powerful fuel&mdash;it has come under attack from the East European Imperial Alliance, which itself is engaged in war with the Atlantic Federation. 
The story revolves around Gallian soldiers led by Welkin Gunther, son of Gallian war hero General Belgen Gunther, in a bid to reclaim their war-torn neutral nation from Imperial Alliance forces and drive them off from Gallian soil after they had launched an invasion into the country.

This manga spin-off of the RPG Valkyria Chronicles is aimed at a female audience.  The story is centered around two original characters--Mintz, an orphaned Darcsen engineer, and Julius Klose, an aloof, talented sniper.
