Aya became a member of Tantei Team KZ as the language expert ever since she began attending cram school. She usually gets embarrassed when in the center of attention. Aya has low self-confidence due to her older brother being exceptionally smart while her younger sister gets attention from her mother.

Tantei Team KZ Jiken Note centers on sixth grader Aya Tachibana who worries about friends, family, grades, and more. One day, she joins the Detective Team KZ with four very unique boys that she met in cram school: Kazuomi Wakatake, Takakazu Kuroki, Kazunori Uesagi, and Kazuhiko Kozuka.<br>
