Had a competition with Hikari when she first went to school and realised that they were diving buddies.   Her car is a Nissan Cube (a mini MPV) called &quot;Pokoteng 3rd-kun&quot;.    Very possible the same character in manga &quot;Roman Club&quot;, shares exactly the same name with Katori Senkou&#039;s older sister. Hikari Kohinata is a cheerful 15 year-old girl who lives near the ocean and she spends much of her time diving as a result. On her first day of high school, she meets a teacher who also likes scuba diving. There's also a 16 year-old classmate, Futaba, who gets dragged along in Hikari's maelstrom as soon as they meet at school.

She married on December 5, 2012, her 32nd birthday, but later announced her divorce on April 30, 2020.

The second season of Amanchu! Hikari Kohinata and Futaba Ooki have together found joy in many things through scuba diving and the most everyday of events. Hikari was born and brought up in a small oceanside town on Izu, and Futaba moved there from Tokyo, but the two polar opposites met at Yumegaoka High and instantly hit it off. The always-reserved Futaba found her perfect foil in the cheery and optimistic Hikari, and their friendship gave her the courage to take the first step and experience many of the smaller joys in life.
