A trainee for the Elite 13, Leccee initially meets Daba when he steals a ship on Koam and she is brought along. Leccee falls in love with Daba and defects from the military to join him. A skilled and experienced pilot, she is a powerful ally although she and Amu don't get along, often fighting over Daba. Leccee eventually gets upset with the rebels' progress and leaves them to become a member of Amandara Kamandara's private army. In the Pentagona System, a young man by the name of Daba Myroad leads a rebellion against Pentagona's leader, Oldna Poseidal. Daba's not alone however, meeting a large number of allies along his journey and having in his possession the powerful L-Gaim, a white Heavy Metal left to him by his father.

A recap OVA that portrays the first half of the series Heavy Metal L-Gaim. After the credits, there is a short clip animated for the OVA entitled "Lady Gyabure", which is intended to be comic relief. 

A side story taking place somewhere before the second half of the series, prior to Daba acquiring the L-Gaim Mk-II. Daba's comrade Leccee is captured by Poseidal's forces, and Daba and his rebels attempt to save her.
