Elizabeth (who demands to be called by the more affectionate "Lizzie") is Ciel's cousin and fiancée. She is the daughter of Ciel's aunt, Frances, and her husband, Marquis Midford.

Lizzie is strong-willed and cheerful, with a fondness for cute things. She has known Ciel since childhood, and the two appear to have been very close. Despite this childhood connection, though, Ciel has not told her the circumstances of his parents' deaths and his own disappearance. Lizzie takes this in stride, not pestering him for information and continues to attempt to restore the close friendship. She ran away from home to see Ciel at least once, in spite of her mother's fearsome personality— she may just be the only person in the series not at all terrified of the Marchioness. Her hobby, much to Ciel's chagrin, is to make everything and everybody "cute"; this involves everything from decorating the mansion with hearts and sparkly bunnies to putting old men in dresses ("just like Marie Antoinette!").

~!In the manga, Lizzie is shown to be an excellent swordswoman. Ciel was unaware of Lizzie's skills because she hid her talent out of fear it would make her seem less "cute". The reason she knows how to fight is because her father, Marquis Alexis Midford, is the head of the British knights. Her father, mother and brother also all know how to wield a sword, and she carries on the family tradition.!~

The story follows the two along with their other servants, as they work to unravel the plot behind Ciel's parents' murder, and the horrendous tragedies that befell Ciel in the month directly after.

She is a popular Japanese singer-songwriter and voice actress (seiyuu), currently affiliated with Amuleto (as seiyuu) and with King Records (as songstress). Affectionately called Yukarin by her fans, she is also known for her soft voice and interest in Lolita fashion. She made her debut as a voice actress in 1997, releasing her debut single Yuuki wo Kudasai on March 26, 1997.
While also a well-known seiyuu, several of her releases have been used as opening and ending themes for anime series, while some have reached the Oricon top 100 singles and album charts. Her role as Takamachi Nanoha in the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha series contributed to a rise in her popularity, as several of her singles (Little Wish: Lyrical Step, Spiritual Garden, Hoshizora no Spica, Beautiful Amulet) were used as the ending themes for the franchise's anime adaptations.

The Phantom Company plans a stage play for the poor children for it's 3rd anniversary since its foundation. But the original theater performers got into a ship accident on their way to London and won't make it in time for the presentation. Faced with this situation Ciel commands Sebastian, "Make the stage play a success". And just like that, Ciel, with his three servants, Lau and Ranmao, Soma and Agni, start rehearsing Hamlet. This arc immediately follows the Curry Contest Arc in the manga, which ended at episode 15 in the first season of the anime.

At the Queen's behest, young master Ciel Phantomhive hosts a lavish banquet to be attended by the crème-de-la-crème of London's elite. What begins as a fabulous affair quickly takes a dark turn when guests begin turning up dead! Should Sebastian and Ciel wish to once more see the light of day, they must join forces with their guests, including the legendary author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, to unravel the mystery – and apprehend the murderer before it's too late!

At the request of Queen Victoria, Earl Ciel Phantomhive goes to Weston College—a prestigious public academy for boys, known for its traditions and outstanding curriculum—to search for a relative of hers who has not returned home in months. Thanks to his noble status, the 13-year-old Ciel is swiftly able to enroll as a student, while his devilish butler Sebastian Michaelis assumes a teaching position at the school. 
 
Ciel does not anticipate being unable to locate the Queen's relative on campus. To make matters worse, he cannot request a meeting with the headmaster of the college, who may be the only person that knows anything pertaining to the disappearance. The only ones in frequent contact with the headmaster are the heads of the college dormitories, known as the Prefect 4 (P4): Edgar Redmond, Lawrence Bluewer, Herman Greenhill, and Gregory Violet. 
 
Ciel must concoct a plan to get in the P4's good graces if he wants to use their connections to succeed in his mission. But the distinguished college and its students hide much that is unseen, making this task more improbable than he could imagine.
