Misaki is the heroine of Kaichou wa Maid-sama!. She lives alone with her mother and her younger sister Suzuna, because her father abandoned them, leaving them with a huge debt. 
~!She then meets Usui, who discovers her working as a maid at the maid café. Misaki thinks Usui will tell the whole school about her working there. Instead, he keeps it a secret under one condition: Misaki has to be his personal maid for the day in order to stay the student council president and keep her part-time job hidden from everyone else.!~   ~!In the manga Usui and Misaki start dating.!~  Anime only:  ~!Ayuzawa is confused as to Usui's true feelings the whole series, but in the final episode, they both confess to each other and kiss. !~

Being the first female student council president isn't easy, especially when your school just transitioned from an all boys high school to a co-ed one. Aptly nicknamed "Demon President" by the boys for her strict disciplinary style, Misaki Ayuzawa is not afraid to use her mastery of Aikido techniques to cast judgment onto the hordes of misbehaving boys and defend the girls at Seika High School. 
 
Yet even the perfect Ayuzawa has an embarrassing secret—she works part-time as a maid at a maid café to help her struggling family pay the bills. She has managed to keep her job hidden from her fellow students and maintained her flawless image as a stellar student until one day, Takumi Usui, the most popular boy in school, walks into the maid café. He could destroy her reputation with her secret... or he could twist the student council president around his little finger and use her secret as an opportunity to get closer to her.

An American voice actress, ADR director, and script writer affiliated with Funimation and Seraphim Digital/Sentai Filmworks.

Monica's father is from Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain, and when she was young, her family would often visit there. She would translate for her younger brother some of the European Spanish-dubbed cartoons which included anime like Doraemon and Dragon Ball Z, often imitating the various characters. Monica studied ballet, tap, and jazz, but transitioned to musical theater when was 12. She studied acting through high school as well as college at the University of Houston. She's cited voice actor inspirations from The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Beavis and Butt-head. She was working on a theater show with Jason Douglas, who suggested she audition for ADV Films. Her first voice-over role was a walla in the 1999 dub of Martian Successor Nadesico.
