Joelle Davidovich Pomponette is a movie producer in Nyallywood. Early on in her life she was being shown movies by her grandfather. Since then she has gained a fascination for the media and she likes all movies. Pomponette has produced many B-grade movies. Even though she could make better ones. Her assistant is Fini Gene.

Gene Fini, a production assistant and film fanatic in the movie capital Nyallywood, has been working on popcorn films with the baby-faced movie producer Joelle Davidovich “Pompo” Pomponette. One day, Gene finds a script written by Pompo and is blown away. When he says it deserves to be made, Pompo challenges him to do it himself—and now Gene is officially directing his first feature film! The hours are long and the challenges are endless, but Gene’s passion for movies will fuel him through the gauntlet of making his own.

The manga depicts the craft of movie-making and revolves around Joelle Davidovich "Pompo" Pomponette, a talented movie producer who looks like a little girl.
 
Operating out of the movie capital "Nyallywood," Pompo has been shooting one B-grade entertainment flick after another that anyone would enjoy. One day, Pompo's "movie buff" assistant Gene spots a new script written by Pompo, and is moved by its exquisite story. In a fit of passion, he proclaims, "I want to see this as a finished work in theaters as soon as possible!"
 
However, Pompo tells him, "So you shoot this film." Thus, Gene takes on his first directing gig. Meanwhile, Natalie, an ordinary girl who just arrived in town with movie actress dreams, has been discovered by Pompo.
