Shinya Nakamura died in a motorcycle accident and afterward realized he was an Ajin, the first one to be found in Japan. He is responsible for the infamous "Flood Incident" which occurred right after.

High school student Kei Nagai is struck dead in a grisly traffic accident, but immediately revives to learn that he may not be like every other human.
