Lalah is a young woman who is the "star student" of Professor Flanagan due to her strong Newtype abilities, and as such is also one of the key test subjects in the development of Newtype-related weaponry. Being one of the earliest and most successful known Newtypes, her powers are accompanied by a profound spiritual awareness.  Despite her gentle nature, Lalah is fiercely loyal to the man who saved her life —- Char Aznable, the scheming "Red Comet", who found her in an Indian brothel where she worked after losing her parents in the war. She was assigned to pilot the Newtype use mobile armor MAN-08 Elmeth as a part of the Newtype research project conducted by the Flanagan Institute. Lalah is ranked as an ensign under Char.

Lalah has a profound impact on Amuro and is considered his first love. During the Elmeth's test run which saw its Newtype "bits" weaponry wreak havoc on the Federal Fleet guarding the newly-captured Zeon base Solomon, Amuro in the Gundam engaged the Elmeth but found out the pilot was Lalah. Both then realized they were soulmates and shared a "Newtype bonding", a sort of telepathic bond.

~!Char arrives and chastises Lalah for "consorting with the enemy" - raising his beam to strike down Amuro's wingman Sayla Mass, piloting the CoreBooster jet. Lalah tells Char to stop, for she sensed the pilot was Char's sister Artesia. Char hesitates, giving Amuro the opportunity to sever the weapon arm of Char's Gelgoog, rendering it incapacitated. Amuro went for the killing blow but Lalah knocks away Char and takes a lethal strike. This has a profound effect on both men, as their rivalry escalates from a professional to a very personal one which culminated in the movie Char's Counterattack. Although she died before the end of the One Year War, Lalah Sune's spirit occasionally returns from beyond the grave to haunt both Char and Amuro Ray, as seen in Char's Counterattack.!~

A series of short films packaged with certain model kits and aired at conventions, the Gundam Evolve series chronicles a number of side-stories, alternative scenes, and even bonus omake from all around the Gundam canon. Featuring a mix of animation media—from traditional cels to 3-D CG rendering to even cel-shaded 2-D animation—these often 3-5 minute shorts cover such events as Domon Kasshu's training (and a bit of a romantic tift with Rain Mikamura) from G Gundam, Amuro Ray battling Quess Paraya from Char's Counterattack, Kamille Bidan training in the Gundam Mk.II from Zeta Gundam, and Canard Pars dueling Prayer Reverie from the Gundam SEED X Astray manga.

Episode 3 is the SD Olympics, an array of athletic events pitting man with mobile suit.

Mobile Suit SD Gundam Mk. II delivers with more tongue-in-cheek humor than the first series. In "The Rolling Colony Affair," a colony is hosting a cabaret show featuring the girls of Gundam. But the show turns disastrous when men and mobile suits go crazy over the girls, sending the colony rolling out of control. A parody of the videogame RPG genre, "Gundam Legend" has Amuro, Kamille and Judau sent on a perilous quest to rescue the princess of the Zeta Kingdom from Char Aznable and his vicious Zeon MS forces.

The first episode, Aoi Hitomi no Casval, tells the story of Casval Rem Deikun and Artesia Som Deikun (Char and Sayla, before Char became known as the Red Comet) before the One-Year War in UC.0068. 
 
The story for the second episode, Kanashimi no Artesia, moves three years ahead to U.C. 0071. The story will follow the tearful separation of the siblings Casval and Artesia (before they became known as Char and Sayla). It will also feature more of the development of the mobile suits, particularly on the Zeon side. 
 
The third episode, Akatsuki no Houki, follows the youth who would become known as Char Aznable and his future comrade Garma Zabi after they join the Zeons' military academy.

In UC 0079, during the One Year War, Mariko Starmine, a fifth grader at the Zeon 6th Elementary School, meets the legendary Red Comet on his white horse. He gives her a magic wand that grants her magical powers to transform her into the Magical Ensign, Blaster Mari.


In 1990, Bandai produced the 4 episode OVA series SD Gundam Gaiden. Directed by Tetsuro Amino (Macross 7, SD Gundam's Counterattack), this series is set in the medieval fantasy world Suda Doaka. Once again, popular Gundam characters such as Amuro Ray and Char Aznable are featured in the series, along with fantasy-styled versions of well-known mobile suits. 
In this series, the heroic Knight Gundam and his companions must protect Suda Doaka from the evils of Satan Gundam and Sieg Zeon. Much of the series is set in the Kingdom of Lacroa, which is featured in several SD productions, including the 2003 TV series SD Gundam Force. As is the case with all the older SD productions, SD Gundam Gaiden isn't available in the U.S.

Having infiltrated Axis, the investigators come under attack inside a base where no one should be. Arlette and Dalton are confronted with an incident they never imagined.


They day after a red shooting star fell to Earth, a man wakes up to find himself in an apartment with no memory of what happened up until that moment. Could he be "Char"? Or is he simply someone who just happens to look like him? One mystery just seems to lead to another mystery? A hillarious spinoff to Neo Gundam!

For the Barrel (フォー・ザ・バレル) is an abstract novel adaptation of Yoshiyuki Tomino's Mobile Suit Gundam. It was serialized in the Japanese Newtype Magazine from August 2000 to June 2002. The series was put as part of the Gundam metaseries and took place in an alternate interpretation of the Universal Century timeline. However, it has no relation or resemblance to any previous Gundam works.

The story takes place in unnamed timeline, where humanity has highly advanced technology. However, the human population is decreasing and it seems that they're on their way to extinction. 
The protagonists are Leos Alloy, Sthesia Awar and their Haro. They work on a Jupiter base called "Jupiter X", using "General Answer" (or "GA") which contains a massive repository of data about the alternate history of Humanity, Leos travels to the Earths' of the alternate timelines in an effort to collect data that might give them a hint for the evolution of mankind.
