Hanakai Tao is a fortune teller and goes to the same school as Nanako and Eiji.


Eiji Busujima was a delinquent in middle school, but now that he’s in high school, he’s trying to put all that behind him. He’s even joined the literature club! Unfortunately, while Eiji’s heart might be in the right place, his face didn’t get the memo, and if his scowling, slit-like eyes don’t scare people away, then his attempts at senryu poetry probably will. But there’s one member of the literature club who isn’t easily intimidated: Nanako Yukishiro, an odd but cheerful young woman who never speaks and communicates only through senryu poetry! So, when the meddling president of the club decides to encourage a relationship between this strange literary pair, the haiku is sure to fly!

Sumire entered the entertainment industry at the age of 9, when she was scouted by Space Craft's junior talent division. In 2009, she landed her first regular radio gig as host of Web Raji@Dengeki Bunko, and in 2011, she transferred to animation division of Space Craft due her interest in becoming a voice actress. On March 12, 2016, Sumire received the Best Rookie Actress award in the 10th Seiyuu Awards. She has also been a member of the seiyuu unit ".lady." since 2014.

Sumire is fluent in Russian and loves the Soviet culture, which she became interested in after hearing the State Anthem of the USSR in her first year of high school. In April 2010, Sumire entered the Faculty of Foreign Studies at Sophia University, and she majored in the Russian language there.

Sumire is interested in history and war figurines, particularly Russian/Soviet history, the Showa era, and likes the book Romance of the Three Kingdoms. She also has had a strong interest in games, anime and manga ever since she was a child. Her other interests consists of photography, lolita fashion-- she works as a lolita model-- and drawing, which she is quite good at. She also loves rock and heavy metal; her favorite bands are Metallica, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Dragonforce, and Kinniku Shoujo Tai. Additionally, Sumire is very good friends with fellow seiyuu [Sachika Misawa](https://anilist.co/staff/102337/Sachika-Misawa), who has called Sumire "her waifu".

An American voice actress and singer who has worked for ADV Films, Funimation, and Seraphim Digital/Sentai Filmworks. She has been married to Dustin Faigen since April 19, 2008.

Yukishiro Nanako is a cute, cheerful high school girl with one peculiar trait – instead of verbal communication, she writes senryu (a type of haiku) poems to relay her thoughts. Together with ex-delinquent Busujima Eiji, they are budding freshmen of the school’s Literature Club. 
 
Even though Nanako doesn’t talk, with the power of senryu, the adorable pair has no problem enjoying their fun school-life through the tune of 5-7-5 syllables.
