Kouji Mihama is one of the love interests in Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live. He often is seen playing the guitar and singing. He used to be in the musical section of Edel Rose until a certain conflict with former classmate [Hiro Hayami](https://anilist.co/character/126908/) when he stole his song. However, he still attends the school. He is dating fellow musician and Prism Star [Ito Suzuno](https://anilist.co/character/80425/).

~!At the end of Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live he forms the unit Over The Rainbow with Hiro and [Kazuki](https://anilist.co/character/126907/), which is named after Kouji's father memento.!~

Commonly referred to as Kakkii by fans, Kakihara is a voice actor and a singer. As the latter, he is a member of Kiramune (music label) and represents the color of green. He was inspired to become a voice actor by [Yuuji Ueda](https://anilist.co/staff/95058/Yuuji-Ueda)'s performance in the Tokimeki Memorial dating sim game, and moved from Germany to Japan at age 18 to pursue his dream.

Kakihara speaks Japanese, English and German.

Shin Ichijou and seven new students join the Edel Rose training school to follow their dreams of idol singer stardom. They hope to become the next Prism Stars and appear in future Prism Shows. However, Edel Rose is threatened by an evil plot hatched by Jin Norizuki from rival school Schwarz Rose. Over The Rainbow goes on indefinite hiatus to save Edel Rose and the three performers go their separate ways. In order to return a huge debt, Kōji goes to Hollywood to produce film music. Kazuki goes on a quest to rediscover his own origins as a street-style performer. Hiro delves into special training to improve himself. In separate locations, the members come to face themselves as Prism Stars.

Naru Ayase is an 8th grader who can see the colors of music when she listens to it. For Naru, who is extremely good at decorating, becoming the owner of a shop like Dear Crown was her dream. One day, she finds out that the manager of a newly-opened shop is recruiting middle school girls who can do Prism Dance, and immediately applies. Naru begins to Prism Dance at the audition, and an aura she's never experienced spreads out in front of her. At that moment, a mysterious girl named Rinne asks her if she can see "rainbow music".

After appearing in the Prism King Cup representing Edel Rose, and getting a glimpse of what it was like to a be a future Prism Star, Ichijo Shin entered Kakyoin Academy’s High School division in spring and became a first-year high school student. Koji, Hiro, and Kazuki from Over The Rainbow left Edel Rose and established a new agency. 
Meanwhile, after having the title of Prism King stolen by Hiro, the leader of Schwarz Rose, Norizuki Jin, proposes PRISM.1, which would decide a new king other than Prism King. He then announces that Schwarz Rose and Edel Rose will be competing with each other.

PriPara Movie: Minna Atsumare! Prism☆Tours is the film based on and starring the characters from PriPara. The film first began showing in theaters across Japan from March 7th, 2015. The plot focuses on Laala Manaka finding out about Saints' top idol journey, and aside from the PriPara performances, the movie also features the journey of characters across all the Pretty Rhythm series.

At some point in the movie, the characters are given a choice of four doors to go through. At this point, the movie diverges into one of 4 routes depending on what the audience chooses. Each route recaps different aspects of the previous Pretty Rhythm series, mainly reintroducing the different characters and their performances. However, Laala and friends only get a chance to enter one door at a time, meaning the film must be watched four times to view each door choice.
