Eishi is a 90th Generation student of Tootsuki Culinary Academy and the current 1st seat of the Elite Ten Council.

Eishi, despite being the current 1st seat of the Elite Ten Council, is quite pessimistic, feeling that he does not deserve the 1st seat. He feels exasperated by the work forced upon him as the 1st seat and the workload caused by the two Shokugekis during the 43rd Annual Tootsuki Autumn Election.

Aided by other rebellious first-years, including the tenth seat, Erina Nakiri, Souma and his allies band together to fight off supporters of Azami's regime. But corrupt instructors and the menacing Central organization stand in their way, and so they must work together, harder than ever before, to survive every underhanded plot designed to banish them from the school.

A three-part set of chapters after the original Shokugeki no Souma series.  The first chapter was published by Shueisha on June 27, 2019, while the third and final chapter was published on August 28, 2019.  All three chapters were included in the 36th and final volume of the main series.  The series focuses on the events after the BLUE, as well as the present, past, and future of the Souma cast.

The fifth and the final season of Shokugeki no Souma. Yukihira Souma has been helping out his family diner, honing his skills. With his father's recommendation, he decides to enroll into "Totsuki Saryo Culinary Institute", a school for the most elites of the culinary world. During his time there, he has grown so much as a chef through studying hard with friends and competing against rivals in shokugeki battles.
 
Souma has now moved up a grade and he has finally grasped what he has always hoped for; the first seat at the Totsuki Ten Masters Council.
 
In the meantime, an invitation to a world-class cooking competition known as "BLUE" arrives to Totsuki. "BLUE" is one of the most authentic gastronomic tournaments for young chefs seeking fame.
