Hinae Arimura is a 2nd-year high school student and president of the literature club. 

Hinae appears to be a trendy, stylish, and energetic girl who likes to tease around with people and read books most of the time. However, in contrast to her cheery personality, Hinae is quite perceptive of the affairs in her surroundings and of people's hidden feelings.  She can wear a much more serious appeal at times, and sometimes gets fed up with pretending to be interested in artificial and boring talks between her girlfriends, hating the facade people tend to put up in front of her.

~!In "Gigalomaniacs" (Chapter 5 of the VN and Episode 5 of the anime), it is revealed by Arimura that she is also a Gigalomaniac. Her Gigalomaniac power is the ability to detect lies when someone is talking!~

~!In the 'Dark Sky' route (Hinae's route), it is revealed that her parent's marriage was nothing more than a facade, where they would constantly cheat on each other with their romantic partners on the side. When Arimura found out about the truth, her image of her family started to shatter little by little. The biggest shock to her was that her older brother knew all along about their parents. Because of this, her desire for the truth was born!~

After a magnitude-7.8 earthquake hits Tokyo's Shibuya ward on November 6, 2009, a black fire spreads and causes mass panic on the day of the earthquake. The sudden disaster that becomes known as the "Shibuya Earthquake" kills 3,851 people and injures 30,927 more. 
 
The story set in a reconstructed Shibuya district in October 2015. A string of mysterious deaths occurs in Shibuya amidst the reconstruction. People begin to take notice as the strange events start on the same day that chaos broke out in Shibuya with a certain incident five years earlier. The events are called the "Return of the New Generation Madness."
