Misha is a &beta; pure-blood Reyvateil, also known to the Teru Tribe as the Hoshiyomi or Star Singer. Since she has a pure bloodline, she is able to cast more powerful spells than regular Reyvateils. Her main purpose in life is to sing the song Chronicle Key to suppress Mir. She has been friends with Lyner since their childhood in Platina. He doesn't remember about her at first, though. She is also a good cook. She seems dispassionate, composed, but sometimes childish. Misha is quite bold and doesn't hesitate to make move on Lyner. She suffers from acrophobia, and is also quite a klutz.  In the game, Misha's specialties are thunder and ice magic.    From the 'List of characters in Ar tonelico' Wiki page

Based on the RPG game of the same name. Aurica Nestmile is a young Reyvateil, or "singing maiden" who feels her song magic is not of much use to anyone. From high up on the tower Ar Tonelico comes Lyner Barsett, whose airship is totaled upon impact with the ground. These two meet up, and in the search for someone who can repair the ship, end up helping both each other and themselves.

After the battle with Mir ended and the world was saved, Lyner and his friends were in the middle of a journey to gather the [feelings] they needed to craft a Song that would reach everyone in the world.
However, while the world should be peaceful again, various strange incidents have started happening.
Items produced through Grathmelding suddenly rose in price due to a shortage of materials, Tenba dismissed a large portion of their Reyvateil workforce, and this in turn caused these Reyvateils to begin falling into emotional instability one after another.
And finally, the Tenba troops have started a war with the Reyvateils at Skuwat Village, while a "mysterious entity" that seems able to control the common subconscious of the Reyvateils seeks a confrontation with Lyner.
