After her single mother decides to run off with a boyfriend to dodge debt collectors, the young and energetic Ohana is sent to live with her grandmother. However, her grandmother is the strict owner of a hot springs inn and requires her to work at the inn to pay for her living expenses. Although Ohana is unhappy about this situation at first, she decides to make the best of her situation and work hard. Ohana's life is suddenly filled with fun, mischief, and drama!

In the days before the Bonbori Festival, Ohana's friend Yuina comes to Kissuiso for training. While cleaning up after her, Ohana discovers a logbook kept by Beans from when her mother, Satsuki, was still a youth at Kissuisso. Through the logbook, Ohana catches a glimpse of her mother's struggles, and realizes that maybe the two of them aren't so different after all. Meanwhile, the rest of the inn staff are caught up in dealing with a blackout.<br><br>

Utopia is a song that was specially created for the True Tears x Hanasaku Iroha x Tari Tari Joint Festival Live featuring the seiyuu (voice actors) from the three series. P.A. Works produced a video of this song which is included in the the Blu-ray release of this event.
